Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 26, 2026
Tempoa (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of users of our mobile application (“App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, stored, disclosed, and the choices you have regarding your information.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
a. Personal Information
Tempoa does not require account creation, email addresses, or login credentials. During onboarding, you may choose to enter a name and set a goal — these are stored locally on your device only and are not transmitted or stored on our servers. Only a boolean value indicating whether a user name was set may be sent as part of analytics events.
b. Pseudonymous Identifiers
On first launch, the App generates a random UUID stored securely on the device and used as a pseudonymous identifier for analytics purposes. This identifier is not linked to your real identity and does not identify you personally.
RevenueCat also generates an anonymous identifier for subscription management, which is linked to the pseudonymous UUID only for analytics trait reporting.
c. Usage Data
The App may access screen time and app usage data via Apple's DeviceActivity framework. This raw usage data remains on your device and is never transmitted off-device.
Only aggregate metrics (e.g., total usage minutes for a given cycle) are included in analytics events.
2. How We Use Information
We use the data described above to:
- Manage app functionality and provide the core features of the App.
- Improve the App experience through product analytics.
- Manage purchases and subscriptions via third-party services.
We do not sell, trade, or share personal information with any parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
We work with the following third-party service providers, who may process certain data on our behalf:
PostHog
Used for behavioral analytics and product improvement. Pseudonymous UUID and aggregated usage events are sent to PostHog. PostHog processes data according to its privacy policy.
RevenueCat
Used for managing in-app purchases and subscription status. RevenueCat receives anonymous identifiers and transaction information needed to verify purchases and subscription entitlements. Payment information (e.g., credit card data) is handled entirely by the App Store.

4. Data Storage & Retention
- On-Device Storage: User preferences, world progress, app selections, and usage cycle history are stored locally on the device and are deleted when the app is uninstalled.
- Analytics: Pseudonymous analytics data processed by third parties is stored according to their respective retention policies.
5. User Rights
Although users do not create accounts or provide personal identifiers, you may request that we take reasonable steps to:
- Delete all data associated with your pseudonymous identifier from our analytics provider.
- Remove your subscription records from RevenueCat via support requests.
To request deletion of data held by us in third-party services, contact us using the information below. You may need to provide identifying details such as your pseudonymous identifier or purchase receipt to locate your data.
6. Children's Privacy
Tempoa is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children in this age group. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, please contact us so we can delete it.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will post the updated policy with a new “Last Updated” date.
